After a short postponement of what had been foreseen, Azul received the approval of the Brazilian and Argentinean airport authorities, and will begin, on March 6, operations in Buenos Aires. The new route, which will have daily flights and nonstop, will depart from Confins, in Belo Horizonte, to the airport of Ezeiza, in the Argentine capital.

“Buenos Aires is one of the most sought-after destinations among Brazilians, and with our wide air network in Belo Horizonte, we will capillarize this operation in a way never seen before,” said company president Antonoaldo Neves. According to him, Azul works in strengthening the international network and will offer the best experiences to its clients.

The flights will be operated with the Embraer 195 jets, which have a capacity for up to 118 passengers. The daily departures of Belo Horizonte will occur at 12:15 p.m., with arrival in Buenos Aires scheduled for 3:45 p.m. The return happens at 4:25 pm, with an estimated landing at 8:05 pm in the capital of Minas Gerais.

With the endorsement of the operation, Buenos Aires will be Azul’s seventh international base – the rest are Fort Lauderdale / Miami, Orlando, Lisbon, Montevideo and Cayenne. Flights to Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, have already been requested, also scheduled to begin in March this year.
