OAG published its traditional annual report on air operations throughout 2019 and found that Copa Airlines and Latam are among the five most punctual airlines in the world. Indonesia’s Garuda was ranked first in the overall ranking after recording 95.01% punctuality, ie up to 15 minutes behind schedule.

The vice-leadership was close to the World Cup, which registered 92.01% punctuality. Latam was 86.41% ahead of international giants such as Delta, American, United, Air France, British Airways, Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines and Air China.

Among the companies considered low cost, the champion was the Japanese Skymark Airlines. The Chilean Sky Airline, which already operates routes to Brazil, was in fourth place, with 83.42% punctuality. Brazilian Azul and Gol were 9th and 18th, respectively.
