LATAM Launches Daily Flights Between Brasília and Foz do Iguaçu

LATAM Airlines Brasil has expanded its domestic network once again with the launch of a new direct route connecting Brasília (BSB), the nation’s capital, to Foz do Iguaçu (IGU) — the gateway to one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the world. The inaugural flight took off on October 27, 2025, marking a new chapter in LATAM’s ongoing efforts to strengthen connectivity between Brazil’s major business and leisure destinations.

Expanding Domestic Connectivity

The route will operate daily, using modern Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, offering passengers a comfortable and efficient journey of approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. The schedule was designed to provide convenient connections from other LATAM hubs, allowing travelers from across Brazil — and even international passengers transiting through Brasília — to reach Foz do Iguaçu more easily.

With this addition, LATAM continues to reinforce its leadership in Brazil’s domestic market, offering travelers more nonstop options and reducing the need for time-consuming connections through São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro.

A Boost for Tourism and Business Travel

Foz do Iguaçu is not only home to the world-famous Iguaçu Falls, but also serves as a key meeting point for Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay. The city attracts millions of tourists each year, drawn by its breathtaking landscapes and eco-tourism opportunities.

By linking Brasília directly to this major tourist destination, LATAM aims to support Brazil’s domestic tourism recovery and enhance travel opportunities for both leisure and business passengers. Government officials and tourism boards have praised the move as an important step toward decentralizing air connectivity and strengthening regional economies.

LATAM’s Growth Strategy

This new route reflects LATAM Brasil’s broader strategy to expand point-to-point services across its domestic network — connecting medium-sized cities and regional hubs without the need to pass through the country’s largest airports.

Recent route launches, including new flights from Brasília to coastal and northern destinations, have demonstrated strong demand from both Brazilian and international travelers. LATAM’s ability to adapt quickly to market trends and optimize capacity across its Airbus narrow-body fleet positions it well for continued growth into 2026.

What Travelers Can Expect

Passengers on the new Brasília–Foz do Iguaçu service will enjoy LATAM’s award-winning onboard service, including flexible fare options, the LATAM Pass frequent flyer program, and the convenience of booking multi-city itineraries through LATAM’s global network.

For travelers from the United States or Europe, this new route also creates better domestic connections after arriving in Brasília — making it easier to explore iconic Brazilian destinations like Rio, Salvador, and the Amazon before visiting the Iguaçu Falls.
