LATAM Airlines is expanding its international network with the launch of a new direct route connecting Florianópolis, the capital of Santa Catarina in southern Brazil, to Lima, Peru. This new air link, which began operations in June 2025, marks the first direct connection between the two cities, offering travelers a convenient and efficient way to explore both destinations.
The route will operate three times a week, using Airbus A320 aircraft, and is expected to boost tourism, business travel, and cultural exchange between Brazil and Peru. For Brazilian travelers, Lima opens doors to the rich history of Peru, including the world-famous Machu Picchu and the coastal cuisine of the capital. Conversely, Peruvians now have easier access to Brazil’s picturesque southern beaches, particularly the rapidly growing tourism hub of Florianópolis.
This new connection reflects LATAM’s strategy to increase regional connectivity in South America while supporting local tourism economies. It also aligns with Brazil’s efforts to strengthen ties with neighboring countries and promote international travel to lesser-served cities.
Tickets for the new route are already on sale on LATAM’s website and through travel agencies, with competitive pricing aimed at stimulating demand in both markets.
