Viracopos International Airport, in Campinas (SP), opened on Monday (23) a mega panel of indoor urban art with the participation of seven artists from the region that mix paper and fabric collage techniques (lambe-lambe) and spray painting (graffiti).

The approximately 250 m² mega panel is made up of six panels inspired by the theme “From First Flight (Santos Dumont) to Space Travel”, located in the International Departures area.

The objective of the project “Viracopos Urban Art” is to value the culture of street art held in the RMC (Metropolitan Region of Campinas), and propose an integration between artists of different strands and techniques such as lambe-lambe and graffiti.

“Viracopos has opened the door for these seven artists to expose their work to the millions of passengers passing through the airport each year. This way, the terminal can make people’s experience with an indoor exhibition of urban art more enjoyable, ”said Cínthia Pereira, Viracopos Airport Media Officer and project coordinator.
