One day after Argentine court suspended Lan Hangar eviction at Aeroparque Airport, the Argentine Minister of the Interior and Transportation, Florencio Randazzo, requested Latam to contribute to the reciprocal of the countries of origin of the group, Chile and Brazil, and Argentina. “We want to have Aerolíneas Argentinas in Brazil and Chile the same rights that Lan has in Argentina,” the minister said.Argentina requets the neighbor countries to provide hangars for Aerolíneas at major airports and allow the airline to operate domestic flights in Brazil and Chile. The minister also said that the government does not intend to expel any airline that operates in Argentina and requested  Lan to present a survey on the impact that the loss of the hangar in Buenos Aires would represent to the company – which has threatened to stop operating in the country, if not has the hangar.

His remarks came after a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Economy, Axel Kicillof and executive director of Lan, Ignacio Cueto, to discuss the official decision to evict the company’ from the hangar at Aeroparque.
