Azul Airlines today signed a bilateral interline agreement with US company Jet Blue Airways for the sale of tickets to destinations served by both companies. The novelty allows customers to reach their destination with just one ticket.

Initially, Azul will offer 90 destinations from Jet Blue to its customers, while the US Company Jet Blue will offer 100 cities served by the Brazilian company. The agreement includes the baggage allowance for international travel, honored on domestic flights operated by the two companies.

“The agreement between Azul and Jet Blue further extends the possibilities of flights and destinations to our customers in Brazil and the United States. The two companies have significant route networks and are recognized for excellence in customer service,” said the founder of both companies, David Neeleman.

Jet Blue counts with main hubs in Fort Lauderdale / Miami and John F. Kennedy in New York. Azul, in turn, has 100 destinations in its route network and offers nonstop flights from Brazil to Fort Lauderdale /Miami and Orlando in the United States. The company’s hubs involve Campinas (in the state of Sao Paulo) and Belo Horizonte.
