LATAM Brasil has expansion plans for this summer in the southern hemisphere. The air carrier wants to add 3200 domestic and international service flights between  1st December and 31st January. The increased flights account for approx a 10% increase relative to October and November 2022. Through this move, LATAM Airlines plans to meet the increasing demand for passengers and serve almost seven million passengers during this time frame.

The upcoming two months are the busiest months of the year in Brazil, and airlines are equipping themselves to cater to the upcoming demand of passengers. As per the report by Cirium, December will witness an increase in domestic and international flights by 7.9% compared to the previous month of November. 

LATAM Brasil aims to expand and develop a stronger foothold by the year’s end. As the festival season is approaching, LATAM Airlines plans to add additional 3000 flights to the current list.

The extra additional flights mainly cater from Sau Paulo to many cities countrywide. In addition to domestic services, LATAM Brasil airlines also plan to connect international destinations, particularly high-traffic destinations such as Buenos Aires, Santiago, and Lima.

Aline Mafra, Director of Sales and Marketing at LATAM Brasil Airlines, has expressed positivity about national and international aviation growth. He contributed to this growth due to the efficiency achieved after the pandemic and the chapter 11 process.

LATAM Brasil airlines are among the top-most airlines in the country as per the government data. If we check the data between January and October 2022, LATAM Brasil Airlines has flown over more than 20 million passengers. The airline accounts for 30 percent of the market share and is able to revive 80% of the pre-pandemic traffic level. The airline is working to attain the pre-pandemic level of traffic.

In October 2022, LATAM operated over 15000+ domestic flights with an average load factor of 80%. Brazil witnessed over 78 million passengers by October 2022. 

 

LATAM Brasilian Airlines is the top aviation player in the country and successfully operates in the national and international spaces. The airlines have been trying to reach the pre-pandemic level and revive the aviation sector traffic like before the pandemic hit the world. And to serve this purpose Latam Airlines has been increasing its flight services by 3000 number count to meet the ever-increasing demand for passengers and ferrying millions of passengers.
