Latam new Flight Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro

LATAM Airlines is set to enhance connectivity between Argentina and Brazil by resuming its direct flights between Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro starting June 23, 2025. This daily service will operate through August 31, aligning with the peak tourism season .

The route will utilize Airbus A320ceo and A320neo aircraft, each accommodating 174 passengers, providing approximately 2,436 seats per week. Travelers can expect a significant reduction in journey time, with the direct flight taking just 3 hours and 10 minutes, compared to the 5 hours and 30 minutes required for flights with a layover in São Paulo.

Flight LA 8022 will depart from Galeão International Airport (GIG) in Rio de Janeiro at 10:15 PM, arriving at Ezeiza International Airport (EZE) in Buenos Aires at 1:25 AM the following day. The return flight, LA 8023, will leave Ezeiza at 5:30 AM and reach Galeão at 8:15 AM.

Florencia Scardaccione, LATAM’s Commercial Manager in Argentina, highlighted the significance of this route, stating, “This seasonal service allows us to bring one of Argentina’s favorite destinations in Brazil closer to travelers, expanding options for our customers.” The airline anticipates transporting around 19,500 passengers during this period .

This reinstated route not only strengthens LATAM’s network between Argentina and Brazil but also offers travelers a more efficient and convenient option to explore the vibrant culture and scenic beauty of Rio de Janeiro.
