Brazil has launched a new tourism campaign, created by the Ministry of Tourism and Embratur (the Brazilian Tourism Board). the campaign, named “The World Meets in Brazil. Come Celebrate Life,” will promote Brazil as the host of major sporting events including the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The campaign highlights Brazil as a country with a unique culture that offers visitors diverse experiences. Embratur will envest $40 million by the end of 2014, utilizing print, digital, online media and more. A special event called “Brazil Wave” will take place from July 28 – September 2, 2012, offering various activities organized to promote the country’s image during the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London.
