The Brazilian Consulates in the United States and other countries are having to deal with a large number of Brazilian Citizens that are stranded abroad, after many airlines have cancelled flights to and from Brazil.
In some cases, stopped all flights, like American Airlines, that simply suspended all its flights to and from Brazil, leaving thousands of passengers with return flights stranded in Brazil and in the United States.
Passengers are trying to find alternative flights to return home, however, because of the large number of cancelations, the Airline’s call centers are completely over run with calls.
The Consulate in Miami is trying to contact all Brazilians that need assistance, in order to determine the best way to handle the situation.
