The number of passengers that used the Brazilian aviation sector surpassed 100 million users. The total of 101.345.228 users took a domestic or international flight in Brazil last year, which represents a 9.4% growth compared to the previous year. The numbers were released today by ANAC.
According to ANAC, the number includes all passengers from regular and non-regular flights, paying and non-paying passengers, including mileage tickets by all domestic and foreign carriers on all Brazilian Airports.
Of those, 9.110.134 were on international flights, and 92.244.094 were on domestic flights. ANAC is very happy to have reached the 100 million mark, declared its director Marcelo Pacheco dos Guaranys.
ANAC also disclosed that the number of complaints decreased 40% in 2012
