Brazilian airline Azul SA is planning to replace more of its old E-Jet fleet, made by local manufacturer Embraer SA, with larger planes from Airbus SE in 2019, the carrier said in a securities filing on Wednesday.
Azul, which launched with an all-Embraer fleet in 2008 and started adding Airbus A320s in 2016, said its new fleet plan will add 12 more Airbus narrow bodies this year and remove 15 Embraer E195s. Azul will also add six of Embraer’s next-generation E2 jets in 2019, four more than previously planned.
Azul is a most prominent brazilian abiation company it is also know as Azul Linhas Aereas Brasileiras or Azul Brazilian airliline, it’s headquartered is located in suburbs of Alphaville, the municipality of Barueri in Sao Paulo. Azul airline is created by David Neeleman, he is an American born in Brazil which was also a co-founder of the company JetBlue which is an airline company of US, its founder is Peter Janot and Chief operating officer is Miguel Dau. This airline company is founded in December, 15,2008. Azul accquires almost 10% brazilian market share which makes top Airlines in Brazil.
