Belo Horizonte International Airport is among the best in the country, according to a survey by the National Secretariat of Civil Aviation of the Ministry of Infrastructure, released in early November. It achieved third place in the category of 5 to 15 million passengers per year, and fifth overall in the Quarterly Passenger Satisfaction Survey for the third quarter of 2019.
According to the results, the overall rating of the airport reached 4.55 on a scale of 1 to 5, where 1 is “very bad” and 5 is “very good”, and once again exceeds the average of 20. airports evaluated, from 4.42.
There were 37 indicators surveyed, where BH International Airport won second place in the sense of security of public areas. Already the third position was won in several items, such as quality of information on the panels of baggage claim, as well as the quantity and quality of cafeterias and restaurants.
For BH Airport’s Airport Operations and Services manager, Rafael Laranjeira, once again being among the best shows that all initiatives undertaken for the convenience and comfort of passengers are on the right track. “We want to be more than a place of arrival and departure. The purpose of Belo Horizonte International Airport is to provide the best experiences for visitors and we have achieved this goal,” he says.
The survey was conducted by the National Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SAC) of the Ministry of Infrastructure, questioning passenger satisfaction and airport performance, and heard 25,461 people during July, August and September 2019. Of this total, 19,265 interviews with passengers on domestic flights and 6,196 interviews with passengers on international flights.
