GOL Airlines Intelligence, S.A. (NYSE: GOL and B3: GOLL4), Brazil’s largest domestic airline, today announced preliminary air traffic figures for January 2023, compared to the same period in 2022. The airline reported a 10% increase in passenger traffic and a 13% increase in cargo traffic.
The number of passengers traveling on GOL increased by 7.3% and the number of seats increased by 7.9%. This resulted in an increase in GOL’s total demand (RPK) by 8.9%. The load factor was 84.7%.
GOL’s domestic supply (ASK) decreased by 3%, while demand (RPK) increased by 0.3%. This caused GOL’s domestic load factor to decline to 85.6%. The volume of departures increased by 3.5%, and seats increased by 3%. GOL’s international supply (ASK) was 1,175 million pieces, the demand (RPK) was 396 million pieces, and international load factor was 77.5%.
