Aiming to further elevate the standards of quality of service to its passengers,
LAN and its affiliates have implemented a mechanism for visually
impaired – Accessibility button Seat System – which allows you to call
the flight crew through double-tap the screen entertainment system board . In addition, the company provided safety information cards produced in Braille language.
“At LAN, we work every day to deliver an excellent product in order
to ensure the best travel experience for our passengers. Thus, we believe that this new system will be of great help to visually impaired passengers, offering them greater access to information and opportunity to request assistance more quickly and easily, “said Fernanda Toro, Director of Travel Experience for LATAM Airlines Group.
Thus, passengers with visual impairments, in addition to receiving custom
instructions from crew aboard, may consult this card, which contains
security information such as location of hand luggage, use of seat
belts, restrictions on use of electronic devices board, use of flotation devices, safety position in case of emergency landing and preparation instructions for takeoff .
In addition to the content in Braille, the card brings the text written
in large letters, allowing readability and color contrast for people
with limited vision .
