GE Aviation, a subsidiary of General Electric, said on Thursday it was awarded a 500 million dollars contract by Latam Airlines for overhaul and repair of turbines.

According to a statement from the manufacturer of motors and mechanical and electrical systems for aircraft, the contract is comprehensive and also provides a review of turbines in Brazil and has a term of ten years or maximum of 200 maintenance visits.

According to the company, it is possible to extend the agreement for another two years or add 50 maintenance visits, whichever expires first.
