LATAM Airlines is strengthening its position in Brazil’s domestic market with a new wave of route launches designed to improve regional connectivity, enhance travel options for business and leisure passengers, and reinforce the carrier’s leadership in Latin America’s largest aviation market.
These new services expand LATAM’s reach to more destinations, increase frequencies on strategic routes, and cater to the growing demand for air travel across Brazil.
Boa Vista – São Paulo/Guarulhos
One of the most notable additions is the new Boa Vista (BVB) – São Paulo/Guarulhos (GRU) route, operated twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Using Airbus A320 aircraft configured for up to 176 passengers, this becomes Brazil’s longest domestic flight, with a duration of approximately 4 hours and 35 minutes.
The new service strengthens connectivity between Brazil’s northernmost state and the country’s main international hub.
Brasília – Foz do Iguaçu
LATAM now operates daily flights between Brasília (BSB) and Foz do Iguaçu (IGU).
This route is particularly strategic for tourism, connecting the capital with one of South America’s most visited natural attractions. Operations alternate between the Airbus A320 and A321.
São Paulo/Congonhas – São Luís
The airline has launched five weekly flights, from Monday to Friday, on the busy business-focused corridor linking Congonhas (CGH)—São Paulo’s central airport—to São Luís (SLZ).
The A320 aircraft offers fast and convenient access for both corporate travelers and tourists heading to Maranhão.
São Paulo/Guarulhos – Ribeirão Preto
LATAM now provides two daily flights between GRU and Ribeirão Preto (RAO), totaling 14 weekly frequencies.
The route is operated with Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft and is expected to benefit business travelers and passengers connecting to international flights via GRU.
Curitiba – Rio de Janeiro/Galeão
The airline has increased connectivity in southern Brazil with two daily flights between Curitiba (CWB) and Rio de Janeiro/Galeão (GIG).
This route is key for corporate demand and offers smooth connections to LATAM’s international long-haul network through Rio.
São Paulo/Congonhas – Natal
To meet strong tourism demand, LATAM is now flying daily between São Paulo/Congonhas (CGH) and Natal (NAT).
With year-round sun and beaches, Natal remains a top leisure destination, and the centrally located Congonhas airport offers passengers added convenience.
Why These Routes Matter
LATAM’s domestic expansion is a response to increasing travel demand and represents a broader strategy to reinforce its network in Brazil. The airline continues to invest heavily in connectivity, enabling more direct flights without the need for time-consuming connections.
Travelers benefit from:
-
More nonstop options between major and regional cities
-
Better access to international hubs like GRU and GIG
-
Enhanced tourism flows to destinations like Natal and Foz do Iguaçu
-
Improved options for business travelers in São Paulo and Brasília
Looking Ahead
As LATAM modernizes its fleet and expands its domestic and international presence, passengers can expect even more route announcements, schedule upgrades, and network improvements throughout 2026.
