Latam Airlines Brazil inaugurated its first flight linking Orlando to
Fortaleza on July 11. The Boeing 767 accommodates 220 passengers in
economy class and 18 in Business Class.
The first operation of the new flight had 83% of seats filled and, for the
next few weeks, the average occupancy rate is above 75%, according
to Latam. With the start of the operation to Orlando, Latam now has five
direct flights between the capital of Ceara and the United States, two to
Orlando and three to Miami. During the month of July and in August, the
airline achieved a 25% increase in landings and departures involving
Fortaleza Airport, which made the terminal in Ceara the third largest base
of Latam in the country.
“Connecting the US and Brazil is a top priority and we are proud to offer
unrivaled travel options to, from and within South America”, said Pablo
Chiozza, LATAM Airlines Group’s Vice President of North America & Asia.
The new flight 8152 departs Thursdays from Fortaleza at 2:15am local time
arriving in Orlando at 8:30pm local time. On the return on Fridays, it departs
from Orlando at 11:30pm local time, landing in Fortaleza at 7:35am local time.
