Azul Airlines announced changes in its international network due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The company, which had previously suspended the route Campinas to Porto, now is delaying the start of its New York route, scheduled to start on June 15, until September 1. All affected customers will be accommodated on flights via Orlando or Fort Lauderdale.

In addition, Azul will temporarily suspend, between April and June, flights from Fort Lauderdale to Recife, Belo Horizonte and Belém; and from Orlando to Recife and Belo Horizonte, also in the same period. Belo Horizonte and Recife operations will also be canceled between April and June.

In a note, Azul said that “in order to balance demand and supply, it is making adjustments to its international network. The company points out that it is already working on re-accommodating its customers ”.
