For GOL Airlines’ president Paulo Kakinoff, the partnership between Zulu and Latam is positive for the travel market and it makes sense considering the pandemic times. “Azul and Latam both recognize that this kind of agreement wouldn’t be feasible prior Covid-19. This is a tendency happening in other parts of the world, where companies get together to face the crises” says Kakinoff.
Mr Kakinoff believes that GOL Airlines is well served in regards to regional routes, therefore does not need a similar agreement. Mr Kakinoff says that the biggest challenge during this crises is to balance the supply and demand. The imbalance in this flow is the biggest threat to companies’ cash flow and financial sustainability.
