Boeing confirmed this week that Brazil’s GOL Linhas aereas placed the largest order from a single South American airline for 60 unites of its new 737 Max model.
The 737 Max features new engines from CFM International and new winglets, which will deliver better fuel efficiency and fewer carbon emissions than earlier models. To date, 724 firm orders for the new plane have been received, with deliveries expected to start in 2017.
