The government of São Paulo State is taking measures to help airlines that serve the cities of Brazil’s richest state during the Covid-19 crisis.

Among the measures are, zero charges for landing fees at airports in the country side, that are managed by the state for ninety day.

The Brazilian Airlines are requesting the landing fee freeze, and also the postponement of fuel taxes and the beginning of new routes.

The Airlines are not asking for subsidies, but rather tools to navigate the crisis and avoid spending money at this critical  point, declared Vinicius Lummertz, São Paulo tourism secretary.
