The Brazilian government announced this week a package of measures to help the airlines that fly in Brazil face the crisis caused by the Covid19 virus.

Brazil’s infrastructure minister, Tarcisio de Freitas signed with President Jair Bolsonaro, signed a measure that provides federal assistance to the Brazilian carriers to be able to handle the wave of refunds to passengers.

The minister declared that the goal is to provide liquidity and cash flow for the airlines, when they are canceling and refunding more flights than booking new ones.
