The Groups Tam and Gol led the domestic market in April with participation (RPK) of 38.42% and 36.24%, respectively. Avianca and Azul recorded the highest growth in participation in the last month compared with the same period in 2012. Avianca went from 4.98 to 7.13% and Azul from 9.94% to 13.44%. The data was released today by the ANAC.
The domestic demand for passenger air transport decreased 3.35% in April, compared with the same month last year. The domestic supply (available seat kilometers, ASK), in turn, decreased by 4%. The utilization rate of the domestic passenger flights (RPK / ASK) reached 72.33%.
INTERNATIONAL MARKET
Tam and Gol Groups represented the totality of the operations of Brazilian companies in international air transportation of passengers in April, with 88.74% and 11.26%, respectively. While Tam Group fell by 1.67%, Gol grew 15.32% stake in April 2013 compared to the same month of 2012.
