More than one million tickets for the World Cup Soccer games were ordered yesterday, the first day of sales, according to Fifa. Sales started at 7am and seven hours later, 163,000 fans had requested tickets, and Brazil among destinations that led most requested entries, followed by Argentina, United States, Chile and England. According to FIFA, the games were opening in São Paulo, and the final in Rio de Janeiro, that had the greatest number of stakeholders, with 168,000 and 165,000 applicants, respectively.
For these cases – demand greater than supply – FIFA raffle tickets until October 10, when it will be completed the first phase of sales. Tickets are priced between R$30,00 and R$1,980. Bought only by the FIFA website, the tickets will be home delivered, and the shipping cost will be informed when the purchase is confirmed, after the raffle.
