Viracopos airport expanded the safety measures at the passengers terminal to avoid contamination with covid-19.
Among the measures the airport adopted are, extensive sanitation, audible warnings, distance signaling, constant disinfection.
The protocol adopted by Viracopos foresees 32 measures to increase the safety at the airport to aid a cleaner and healthier environment to all clients and staff. More than 130 antiseptic alcohol dispensers were installed in the terminals, parking lots and office areas. The signaling system was remodeled aiming for better guidance and awareness. The airport created a special committee to manage all subjects related to covid-19.

Another measure implemented is the constant sanitation and disinfection every four hours of several parts of the airport like escalators, chairs, elevators, ticket windows, tables, handrails, luggage carts etc. In regards to seats, besides sanitation they will have more space in between for safe distancing.
The airport followed orientations provided by Anvisa (National Agency for Sanitation) in several areas like human resources, communication, airport media, marketing, financial and administrative, operations, engineering and environment, safety, IT among others.
