Brazilian airline will offer direct flights to Orlando and Miami, the company announced Friday.

GOL Linhas Aéreas’ daily flights out of the two Florida cities will be to Brasília and Fortaleza, according to a press release.

“GOL’s route to Miami and Orlando was drawn considering customers from all regions of the country,” the press release said. “Together, Brasilia and Fortaleza – a new hub in the northeast region of the country — offer a total of 30 destinations, allowing quick and efficient connections, with a flight time average of 60 minutes. Customers may board at airports such as Congonhas in São Paulo and Santos Dumont in Rio de Janeiro, for instance, and quickly connect in Brasilia to fly to Florida.”

Brazilians on holiday are important to Orlando’s tourism industry.

Brazil ranked No. 1 among overseas visitors, edging out the United Kingdom, and is second only to Canada among all foreign countries, according to Visit Orlando in 2015.

The announcement comes during a record-breaking year at Orlando International Airport.

More than 3.6 million people traveled in and out of the airport in November — a 7 percent jump from November 2016, according to recently released numbers.

Gol also offers low fares from Florida to Brazil.
